Day One Hundred and Eighty-Eight: Seeing Eye to Eye

When an irresistible force (such as this red train engine) meets an old immovable object (like this orange train engine)...like Sammy sang, something's gotta give!

I saw these train engines butting heads today on the tracks in East Lawrence. They spent about five minutes rolling back and forth on the rails, neither seeming ready to give way.

Were they trying to establish dominance?

Were they playing a very directionally-limited game of chicken?

Or perhaps I was witnessing the answer to the question that has plagued 7th grade math students for centuries:

If train A leaves New York at 10 a.m. heading west at 80 mph, and train B leaves Los Angeles at 11 a.m. traveling east....

Eventually train B (the red engine) gave way and the group rolled down the track. I guess Sammy was right!
