Once or twice a year a good lightning storm will strike Lawrence.
Sheets of electricity will fill the sky, sometimes giving the customary dark of night an appearance of prolonged daylight. During one 30-minute storm last year there was a not a single second that ticked by without a visible flash of lightning somewhere in the sky.
This morning's (early) storm was not that extreme, but it did give me the chance to capture some lightning strikes across Lawrence.
Here's what I came away with:
