Day One Hundred and Fifty-Two: R.I.P.

Today we say goodbye to a dear friend. And a friend of deer.

Poor Goldy met his untimely end during a tug-of-war battle with Farley the dog in which Goldy the gopher (or is he supposed to be a chipmunk?) was, in fact, the tug.

Goldy was a good friend to all animals, and shared close quarters with cows, geese, ducks, deer, squirrels, and anyone else who happened to be in the toy basket.

Goldy is not the first animal in the house to be decapitated...nor will he be the last, I'm sure.

Goldy is survived by a Nylabone, an old tennis ball, and a Kong.

Rest in peace, dear friend.

Or should I say, in pieces?
